An elevator pitch is a short summary used to quickly and simply define a concept and its value proposition. The term reflects the idea that it should be possible to deliver the summary in the time span of an elevator ride
In this course, each participant uses an existing idea or project and assembles the material at hand into a graphic design of 1-3 posters in A3-format. In some cases, new images or texts are made to fit the concept of the graphic design.
We focus on 4 main levels of communication:
Attraction image — to create attention and interest
Main objectives — where the reader gets on overview of the content
Elaboration — a more detailed, yet brief description
Cliffhanger — a final image or text that creates further interest and hints about the idea’s potential
We work with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. The goal-oriented setup automatically creates a situation where each participant searches for design solution, supported by the workshop leader, and thereby he or she automatically gains technical skills.
