- for the carbon footprint
- care, patience
- time for understanding, investigating, replacing, executing
It's better to spend 10 years longer in development than it is to live 100 years with the wrong project
- in Antwerp, Belgium 2016 -
development of one project per 2 years
Are there problems? If yes, what can be improved?
What is the role of the architect, ow and in the future?
What methods and strategies can the architect apply?

- spatial interventions = comments on future urban life
unattractive corners of the city
- how can we revitalise these?
revitalise a forgotten corner
and its surroundings?
- are they really so vague?
- aren't these the architect's main driving force?
- is that obvious to everyone?
- is that obvious to everyone?
- classic conflict architect vs engineer, user's DIY, prefab, the architect as a luxury
- we need to create societal awareness about architecture
- What is the point of utilitarian construction?
- Using the term Bauhaus in New European Bauhaus already implies
that artistic considerations are crucial, but utilitarian solutions' risk
  is imminent
solutions that explain why these seemingly vague issues are so important.
We can send our proposals to the New European Bauhaus Committee
Let's all start answering a simple question: what would the new ideal building be? And if we open more that question, what would beautiful, sustainable and inclusive places be like? What are the feelings, the sensations, but also the practical requirements and the materials we would use? If it was our neighbourhood, how should that look like, feel like, work like? How would we share the space and what would be our new habits? What if the new buildings were spaceships? What if they were earthships? What if they were like a bird's nest, or a flower, or a tree?
What if?... How to?...
If you join the conversation, your answers will be your introduction to the rest of the community. Are you up for it?

The project is user-focused. We view the urban fabric from the user’s perspective and everyday life.
Defending vagueness.
Arguably, the user’s perception has a lot to do with the vague facets of the profession, such as artistic expression, an appealing atmosphere, and well-being. Components of our shared architectural space for which it is hard to find evidence.
Time
User-focus and designing the vague components is an activity in need of careful consideration. We need to apply an attitude of caring and simultaneously accept that we need to take our time to deliver the necessary design solutions.
Policy.
Observations made in different countries show that well-established customs in project processes and market demand generate time and efficiency pressure. Arguably, achieving the goals above benefits from guiding policies. What could such policies be?
