ARCHITECTURE
& DESIGN
is an interdisciplinary studio in Berlin, Germany, run by the Swedish architect SAR/MSA Fredrik Skåtar.
Skåtar creates objects and drawings on the intersection between design and art, geometrical and spatial experiments. These works aim for having an artistic meaning alongside offering a function and materialisation of theories.
The site's context and the users' needs and are central architectural components. Architecture should connect to its surroundings from historical, architectural and social perspectives and create a sense of well-being in its users.
Fredrik Skåtar is an architectural researcher, active both in academia and the commercial sector. His focus is the promotion of architecture's essential and crucial artistic facets, gathering data from professional experience, field trips and experimental drawing.
